July this Summer
Summer is here and some great things happening, check out the David Hockney Exhibition at the Royal Academy, over at the British Museum there are some incredibly Exhibitions of note, I especially like Sicily, Culture and Conquest on until August 14th Only.
Over in the West End the new production of Aladdin is proving popular with families this summer also a the Old Vic , a remake of the 1993 classic movie Ground Hog day is awesome.
On 23rd July at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park the London Anniversary games gets under way with some world class athletes, whilst you are there check out the from 23rd July to 4th September is the largest urban beach in the UK, large screens in August will show the Olympics from Rio.
At Olympia, Hyper Japan is on 15th July for 3 days offering quality Japanese and Japan-centric exhibitors plus lots more.
I loved the EXHIBITIONISM at the Saatchi gallery, the first international exhibition of the Rolling Stones.
Tennis is not the only thing you find in Wimbledon these days, the as the Ivy Café opened its doors in the village recently and has received rave reviews. I had dinner in Miami recently at Balans and they continue to grow with a new opening in Seven Dials, Covent Garden. But my restaurant of the month goes to Chutney Mary, in St James, perhaps the most innovative Indian food I have ever eaten and a far cry from those Anglo Indian days when they were on the Kings Road.
Interesting Pop up is Brixton Beach Boulevard, brings 80s style with this pop up beach, very cheesy but fun!
